About the Founder
Dean Popiel
Dean Popiel sings with the honest voice of a soldier and a pilgrim, a traveler into worlds where life itself is on the line. His songs stand up and announce their arrival into the fabric of our culture. It soon becomes obvious they may become as well known as the best rock anthems of our time. In his work we find both transcendent melodies and thoughts of significance. His songs draw from the deepest well of human experience; the loss of brothers in arms, the greatness of true companionship and the ultimate dependence on divine providence.
The listener is urged to breathe deeply and enter this world, knowing that the teller of these stories has already swept the minefield and wrestled with those traumas which attach themselves to one who serves in faith or duty. This man has clearly navigated that battlefield, both literally, and in the battlefield of his own self. He has survived, scarred but whole, to bring hope to his brothers and sisters wounded with their own conflicts. Dean Popiel seems to have found some peace in his music, if his songs are to be believed, if not, he’s pretty close to something and we’d be wise to listen.
